This information is provided pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by D.Lgs. 101/2018, to users who interact with the web services of Lido Cala Mazzo di Sciacca, accessible electronically at https://calamazzoscopello.it/en/ (the "Site").

For any request relating to your personal data, please write to info@hotelgrotticelli.com. A Data Protection Officer (DPO) has not been designated as the processing does not fall within the categories that make such designation mandatory (Art. 37 GDPR).
2. Types of Data Processed
a) Browsing data. The IT systems responsible for the operation of this Site acquire, during their normal operation, some personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. These include: IP addresses, domain names of computers used by users, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of requested resources, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment.
These data, necessary for the use of the Site, are processed solely for the purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct operation. Browsing data may be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of computer crimes against the Site.
b) Data provided voluntarily by the user. The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of messages via WhatsApp to the number indicated on the Site, by email to the addresses indicated, or of booking requests via the contact forms on the Site, entails the acquisition of the following personal data: identification and contact data (name or nickname, phone number, email if provided) and communication content (message text, booking information).
3. Purpose of Processing and Legal Basis
Personal data are processed for the following purposes:
- Responding to requests for information, quotes or bookings sent via WhatsApp, telephone or email. Legal basis: performance of pre-contractual measures at the data subject's request (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Managing bookings for sunbeds, parasols, equipment and services offered by the Lido. Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR).
- Complying with legal obligations (accounting, tax, record-keeping). Legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR).
- IT security of the Site and prevention of abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
- Any handling of complaints and litigation. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
No data is transferred to third parties, sold, or used for marketing, profiling, newsletter sending or unsolicited promotional communications. No automated decision-making or profiling activities are carried out pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR.
4. Processing Methods
Personal data are processed with electronic and paper tools, by authorised personnel, adopting appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure security, confidentiality, integrity and availability of data, in accordance with Article 32 GDPR. In particular: HTTPS encrypted connection (TLS 1.2+), access to data limited to authorised personnel, regular backups, periodic software updates. WhatsApp communications take place via the WhatsApp platform (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd), which acts as Data Processor.
5. Data Retention
Data is retained for the time strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected and in any case:
- Contact and booking data: 24 months from the last contact, unless otherwise required by law.
- Accounting and tax data: 10 years from registration (Art. 2220 of the Italian Civil Code).
- Site access logs: 12 months.
6. Rights of the Data Subject
As a data subject (Art. 15-22 GDPR) you have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (right to be forgotten, Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), objection (Art. 21) and withdrawal of consent (Art. 7.3) where applicable. To exercise these rights, write to info@hotelgrotticelli.com. The Data Controller will respond within 30 days of the request (Art. 12.3 GDPR). You also always have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

International transfers. The data collected by the third-party services listed above may be transferred to third countries (in particular the United States). The Data Controller has verified that these providers offer adequate safeguards, including adherence to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023) and/or the use of Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC).
We do not use profiling cookies, third-party analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Matomo, etc.), advertising cookies, social tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.) or device fingerprinting.

Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance
The use of the website https://calamazzoscopello.it/en/ implies the full acceptance of these Terms. All content (texts, images, logos, trademarks, photographs of the beach and premises) is the property of the Data Controller and protected by copyright laws (Italian Law 633/1941 and subsequent amendments). Reproduction, even partial, without written authorisation is prohibited.
2. Bookings
Bookings for sunbeds, parasols, equipment (snorkelling kit, SUP boards) and services are made via WhatsApp to +39 333 570 5939, by email to info@hotelgrotticelli.com or by phone. Booking confirmation is provided by the Lido within 24 hours of the request. The spot is considered confirmed only after such written confirmation. For the 2026 season (1 June 30 September), guests are requested to arrive at the Lido by 10:00 AM on the day of the start of the booking; otherwise the booking lapses automatically and the spot may be reassigned. Cancellations must be communicated at least 24 hours in advance. For group bookings (8+ people) a 30% deposit by bank transfer is required.
3. Prices and Payments
Prices for services (sunbeds, parasols, equipment, snack bar, parking) are listed on the Site on the Services & Prices page and are expressed in Euros (â¬), VAT included. Payment can be made in cash at the Lido or by main electronic payment circuits (POS). Online payment via the Site is not available. The Data Controller reserves the right to change prices at any time; confirmed bookings will keep the price agreed upon confirmation.
4. Liability
The Lido Cala Mazzo di Sciacca undertakes to provide accurate and up-to-date information on the Site, but cannot be held liable for any damage arising from the use of the Site, temporary technical malfunctions, adverse weather-marine conditions or actions of third parties. Photos of the beach and seabeds are indicative: sea conditions may vary based on the season and weather. The Lido is not responsible for personal items left unattended on the beach; lockers/safe storage are available.
5. Beach Access
Access to the beach is free and open to the public along the waterline, in accordance with Italian law. Paid services (sunbeds, parasols, snorkelling equipment, parking, snack bar) are managed directly by the Lido. The use of hired equipment is under the user's responsibility; we recommend respecting sea conditions, following staff instructions and wearing appropriate safety devices where required. Dogs and other pets are not allowed on the equipped beach, except where provided for by regional regulations.
6. Complaints
For any complaint regarding the services offered, the user can contact the Data Controller via WhatsApp, email or phone. For contractual disputes, Italian and European consumer protection regulations apply, including the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005). For disputes not resolved amicably, the Court of Trapani has exclusive jurisdiction, except for mandatory consumer protection rules.
7. Accessibility
The Site is designed to be accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities, in compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards and the European Accessibility Act (Dir. 10. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These notices are governed by Italian law and by EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). For any dispute arising from or connected with the use of the Site or the interpretation of this notice, the Court of Trapani has exclusive jurisdiction, except for mandatory consumer protection rules.
